Tacoma Fun Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium
Disclaimer: I received tickets to the zoo in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
Greg had a baseball tournament up north in the Tacoma area, and we took advantage of the amazing weather and beautiful area.
We spent our first day at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. With a view of the bay and so much to see, we all had a great time.
Graydons Shoes // See Kai Run
Beckett’s Hat // Zutano INC
Our favorite animals to see were the tigers, elephants, and foxes.
After seeing all of the animals, we went into the aquarium. It was a great place to escape the heat, and there were so many different types of fish and even sharks to see. Graydon enjoyed the touch tank while the babies watched the little fish! Beckett was loving it, until a big fish swam towards him and he lost it (haha).
There was a super cute show that featured different animals and talked about the importance of “Reduce, Re-use, Recycle”, it was pretty funny too!
Graydon even got to feed the birds!
The grounds are filled with beautiful art work and the view on the water is incredible!
There is even a great shaded play ground to let the kids play and run.
It was such a fun place to spend the day!
After the zoo, we watched Greg’s last game and Graydon got to play at the playground in Steilacoom. It was such a neat park and he had a blast!
The next day we met up with fellow blogger Livi, from XOLIVI! We hung out at the park while the kids played and took a hike/walk. It was so great getting some mom time and meeting a blogging friend! Of course we had to sport our Cultural Blends sweaters, even though we were melting!!
With the heat, the crazy schedule and the weekend being so busy, we still had such a fun time!
