2018; A Year for Hope
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. -Romans 5:5
With the year ending, we all think about our resolutions for the new year. How will we make 2018 better? What do we hope to accomplish?
In 2018 I hope to…..
1: Find answers to Beckett’s breathing issues and sleeping difficulties.
2: Be present. I want to reduce the amount of technology in our home and just be more present.
3: Spend more time outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, walking, or time at the park, I want to make sure our family gets outside.
4: Be me. I want to spend less time worrying about what others will think and just be me. My house doesn’t need to be perfect, chaos is bound to happen, and I may be socially awkward at times, and that’s just fine by me!
5: Self Care. I want to set some “me time” aside this year. Whether it’s working out or browsing the local home goods for some Rae Dunn, I want to make sure I don’t forget to take care of myself.
6: Be more intentional. With everything I do, I want to be intentional. Homeschooling, studying the Bible, reading with the kids, and praying before meals ….. these are all things I become lazy with. In 2018, I want to be more intentional in all that I do.
Some of my goals I have control over, while others, not so much. That’s where having hope and faith come to play. In reality, even what I believe I have control over, I don’t.
So here’s to a new year. To putting hope and faith in Jesus and making the year great! Here’s to more praying and less whining. To remembering that all things are possible with hope and faith in him! To being intentional and grateful.
Happy New Year Friends!
