God’s grace sets us free. Over and over in the bible, we are told about his grace. Grace is an amazing thing, and it really is something that I run on. It keeps me going in this crazy life. It’s also something I want teach Graydon about. I want him to know all about God’s amazing Grace.
Romans 3: 22-24
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
This is such a great reminder of an amazing reason not to judge. I find myself judging my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I have to stop myself. Who am I to judge? We all sin, and we should all be striving to be more like Jesus. Sin is sin, there aren’t levels of sin, Jesus doesn’t put us in order of our sins. Instead, his grace sets us free. It’s our job to try to be more like the Jesus.
2 Corinthians 12:8-9
“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
When we go through hardships it’s so easy to put the blame on someone so powerful and mighty. Especially not knowing the bible or about Grace. As humans there are so many different ways to deal with pain. It’s important to remember that God will never put us through something we can’t handle. We have to put all our trust into him. Our suffering makes us stronger.
“And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”
To know that through all our sins and suffering. Through all our hardship, mishaps and poor choices – God forgives us. While we strive to be more like Jesus, we aren’t perfect, but that’s okay. Grace means we don’t have to be perfect. We don’t have to earn or work for gods love.
Grace, it’s an amazing thing.
