Toddler Sleep Part 2/3

In part 1, I shared about our choice to co-sleep, why we do it, and how it works for our family.
Since I nurse G to sleep, it’s important for me to have a nearby, easy access place for him to start his night of sleep. This is where our DockATot comes in handy.

The DockATot is a portable dock for your toddler or baby.

Every material and detail is carefully micro-managed to ensure the highest quality of breathability, non-toxicity, comfort and convenience.”

At stylish, convenient, cozy, and safe. My little guy loves napping and sleeping in his dock when he isn’t snuggling with me.

It also gives me piece of mind knowing he is somewhere close and safe.

Another huge sleeping aid for us is our Dohm Marpac sound machine. It’s the original, all natural sound machine. The sound is adjustable and  soothing. Most other sound machines are hard for me to listen to, but the Dohm Marpac makes it hard for me to stay awake.

It masks all other noises that may otherwise disturb you or your little one while asleep. I’ve even slept through my alarm because of it. They are high quality, made in the US and a must for sleeping! It’s even helped my husband sleep while being on his odd baseball schedule.

Stay tuned for Part 3 for overnight leaks, more pictures and dealing with night wakings.

Hi Ashley! Love your post! Couple questions: when did you transition you Graydon to his do dock-a-tot? Do you have it in a bigger bed? Do you lay down next to him and nurse him while he is in the dock?
I live here in San Francisco and we have an eight month of baby girl named Stella. We co-sleep as well, similar story to yours bc we didn't plan it, it's just what came naturally. Thank you in advance for your time and any help! Xo

  2. Hey Nikki! I just discovered the DockAtot recently, I wish we would have known about it earlier. Eight months would be a great time to start the transition. I put the DockAtot on the floor (we have pretty nice soft carpet) and I nurse him to sleep there. Sometimes I have to nurse him back to sleep throughout the night, and that usually means I just bring him to bed because I'm too tired to lay on the floor with him. I hope that helps! ❤️

What a useful post! I would also advice you to try best pack n play – it`s very comfortable for children to play and sleep and in addition, only one item contains napper, changer, playing yard and more other useful things.
