Five Simple Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Dress // Pink Blush

Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that I’m never really sure how to celebrate. While things like Flowers for Valentines Day are an absolute given, going out to eat sounds like too much of a hassle and cards are a bit too cheesy for my taste. I’m sharing five simple ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Skip the restaurant reservations, the hallmark cards, and the heart shaped jewelry this year.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Date Night in

Schedule a box from Hello Fresh, or stock up on groceries to make a meal you’ll both love. Don’t have a sitter? Valentine’s Day can be just as special including the kiddos. It’s about love after all! They way I look at it is, you can do a date night with your spouse on a less busy day of the year!

Gift Something Unique

I’ve been loving the Rae Dunn mugs, and these Mr. & Mrs. mugs are the perfect his and hers gift! But if you want something more personal, consider personalized photo mugs for your partner instead! You could really reflect something important, like an unforgettable date or a key moment of your relationship.

Dress Up

Whether you stay in or go out, dress up. I love this beautiful, comfortable and timeless dress from Pink Blush. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day. I must admit this is one of the only reasons why I can be persuaded to go out every now and again; an excuse to go all out and feel beautiful for the night. I like places like Katy Vibes: Real Food, Real Entertainment where you can let your hair down and enjoy some great food with some great music.

& Feel Beautiful

Do a spa day, spend time on your hair and makeup, or just rest. Valentine’s Day is about love, and self love is important too!

Include your kids

Bake cookies, do some crafts, and teach your kids about love. Show them through your marriage what love is about and the importance of unconditional love!

Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be well thought out or extravagant. It’s about love, and however you celebrate with the ones you love is good enough. If you want to dress up, you should, or stay in your pajamas. It’s all up to you!

I honestly feel like you’re in my head! We do all of these things. I’m a homeschooling mom so during the day the littles and I bake cookies, get flowers, & do some “hearty” crafting. Then my hubs brings home sushi for dinner & we all eat by candlelight dressed to the 9’s of course! Great post!
